Ingredients
  

  • 1 small head green cabbage thinly sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or a blend of butter and olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Prep the Vegetables:

  • Slice the cabbage thinly and set aside.
  • Slice the onion and mince the garlic for the sauté.

Heat the Ghee or Oil Blend:

  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee (or a blend of butter and olive oil) over medium heat. Once the ghee is melted and hot, add the sliced onion.

Sauté the Onion and Garlic:

  • Cook the onion for 3-4 minutes until it becomes soft and translucent.
  • Incorporate the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until aromatic.

Cook the Cabbage:

  • Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet and toss to combine with the onions and garlic.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Continue to sauté the cabbage for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it softens and develops a golden brown color on the edges.
  • Aim for the cabbage to be tender while retaining a bit of crunch.

Season and Serve:

  • Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
  • Serve the sautéed cabbage as a simple, healthy side dish alongside your favorite protein or as part of a veggie-forward meal.
