2cans6 oz / 125g each of tuna in water, well-drained
1 ½cupsof finely crushed saltine crackers
1eggslightly beaten
1-2stalks of celeryfinely chopped
½cuplight or regular mayonnaiseadd more if needed
For the Dill Mayo Sauce:
½cuplight or regular mayonnaise
1tablespoonlemon juice
½ - 1teaspoondried dillor 1-2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill
Instructions
Prepare the Tuna Patty Mixture: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the drained tuna, cracker crumbs, beaten egg, celery, and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients bind together.
Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into 6 even portions.
Cook the Patties: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and heated through.
Make the Dill Mayo Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and dill. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Serve: Serve the tuna patties warm with a dollop of dill mayo sauce on top or on the side. Pair them with a crisp salad or serve them on a toasted bun for a hearty tuna burger experience.
