Ingredients
  

For the Tuna Patties:

  • 2 cans 6 oz / 125g each of tuna in water, well-drained
  • 1 ½ cups of finely crushed saltine crackers
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1-2 stalks of celery finely chopped
  • ½ cup light or regular mayonnaise add more if needed

For the Dill Mayo Sauce:

  • ½ cup light or regular mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ - 1 teaspoon dried dill or 1-2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Tuna Patty Mixture: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the drained tuna, cracker crumbs, beaten egg, celery, and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients bind together.
  • Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into 6 even portions.
  • Cook the Patties: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and heated through.
  • Make the Dill Mayo Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and dill. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Serve: Serve the tuna patties warm with a dollop of dill mayo sauce on top or on the side. Pair them with a crisp salad or serve them on a toasted bun for a hearty tuna burger experience.
