Ingredients
  

  • 1 14 oz loaf French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/4 cup salted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil not extra virgin
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic or 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper according to your preference.
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • o Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • o Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil to simplify the cleaning process afterward.
  • Prepare the Bread:
  • o Cut the loaf of French or Italian bread in half lengthwise.
  • o Position the two halves with the cut surfaces facing upward on the lined baking sheet.
  • Make the Garlic Butter:
  • o In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, olive oil, and minced garlic until well combined. Season the mixture with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Spread the Garlic Butter:
  • o Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread, making sure to cover every inch for maximum flavor.
  • Add the Cheese:
  • o Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over both halves of the bread. Then, sprinkle the finely shredded parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake:
  • o Place the bread in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Broil for Extra Crispiness:
  • o For an extra crispy top, switch the oven to broil and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye on it to prevent burning.
  • Garnish and Serve:
  • o Remove the bread from the oven and sprinkle it with the chopped fresh parsley. Allow it to cool for a few minutes, then slice it into pieces and serve warm.
