- 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
- 1 1-oz package taco seasoning (premium brand for best flavor)
- 1 10-oz can diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese preferably aged for richer flavor
- 1 8-oz bottle premium-quality Ranch dressing
- 5 sets 15-count each frozen phyllo tart shells (75 total)
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the frozen phyllo tart shells on a baking sheet.
Cook the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease, then stir in the taco seasoning and undrained diced tomatoes with green chiles. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is reduced and the beef is well-seasoned.
Assemble the Bites: Spoon the seasoned beef mixture into each phyllo tart shell, filling them about 3/4 full. Top each tart shell with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the phyllo shells are golden and crispy.
Add Ranch Dressing : Remove the tart shells from the oven and let them cool slightly. Drizzle a small amount of Ranch dressing over each bite or serve the Ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
