- 1 ½ cups roasted sunflower seeds
- 1 cup vegan honey or a suitable syrup like maple or agave
- 1 cup granulated sweetener coconut sugar, erythritol, or regular sugar work well
Step 1: Prepare the Caramel Mixture
In a medium saucepan, combine the vegan honey and granulated sweetener over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sweetener is fully dissolved and the mixture begins to boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and allow it to simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. The mixture should thicken and develop a caramel-like consistency.
