Creamy Base:
- 1 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 10.5-ounce can cream of bacon soup
Flavor Enhancers:
- ½ cup crumbled cooked bacon
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Cheese & Seasoning:
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Crunchy Topping:
- 1½ cups French fried onions
Prep Your Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of a slow cooker with cooking spray or a little oil to prevent sticking.
Combine Ingredients: In the slow cooker, mix the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, cream of bacon soup, cooked bacon, onion powder, garlic powder, and shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
Season to Taste: Add salt and black pepper to taste, keeping in mind that the soups and bacon already add some saltiness.
Cook: Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until the mixture is heated through and bubbling.
Add the Topping: Sprinkle the French fried onions over the top of the casserole during the last 15–20 minutes of cooking. Leave the slow cooker uncovered to allow the onions to crisp up.
Serve: Once the casserole is hot and the topping is golden and crunchy, serve it straight from the slow cooker for an easy and delicious presentation.
