Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz kielbasa sliced (any variety works)
  • 5 small russet potatoes skin removed and cut into cubes.
  • 1/2 head of cabbage roughly chopped (about 6 cups)
  • 1 white onion sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for a little heat

Instructions
 

Prep the Ingredients:

  • Peel and dice the potatoes, chop the cabbage, and slice the onion and kielbasa.

Layer in the Slow Cooker:

  • In your slow cooker, layer the diced potatoes, sliced onion, and chopped cabbage.
  • Add the sliced kielbasa on top.

Season the Dish:

  • Sprinkle the salt, pepper, dried thyme, and optional cayenne pepper over the ingredients.

Add the Broth:

  • Pour the chicken broth over the entire mixture, ensuring the liquid reaches the bottom to help everything cook evenly.

Cook:

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the potatoes are tender and the cabbage is soft.
