Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 8 ounces of pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Sear the Steak: In a large skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add 1 pound steak pieces and sear for 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté the Aromatics: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 1 diced onion. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves for 30 seconds.
  • Make the Cheese Sauce: Lower heat to medium-low, add 1 cup heavy cream, mixing with onion and garlic. Gradually sprinkle in 1 cup truffle Gouda and 1 cup mozzarella until smooth.
  • Combine Ingredients: Return steak to the skillet, fold into the cheese sauce. Add pasta and toss until well coated.
  • Prepare for Baking: Preheat oven to 375°F. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
  • Bake Until Golden: Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, and garnish with 0.25 cup chopped parsley before serving.
