Ingredients
  

  • 4 cod fillets about 6 oz each
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For Garnish Optional
  • Fresh parsley
  • Lemon slices

Instructions
 

  • Set the Oven: Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly coat a baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  • Prepare the Marinade : In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil (or melted butter), lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, thyme or oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Flavor the Cod: Arrange the cod fillets in the prepared baking dish. Use a brush to apply the marinade generously, making sure each fillet is fully coated.
  • Cook the Cod: Place the cod in the hot oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish easily flakes apart when tested with a fork. The cooking time may differ based on the thickness of the fillets.
  • Garnish and Serve : Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle fresh parsley over the fillets for garnish. Serve with lemon slices on the side for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
