  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, hot sauce, unsalted butter, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • Thoroughly rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
  • In another bowl, beat together eggs and milk until smooth.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
  • Dredge each shrimp in the seasoned flour, dip in the egg wash, then coat again in the flour.
  • Carefully place shrimp in the frying oil in batches, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Transfer cooked shrimp to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • While shrimp are hot, toss them in the hot honey sauce until well coated.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with additional red pepper flakes if desired.
