Cook the Beef:
o In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks.
o Drain any excess grease.
Season the Beef:
o Add the taco seasoning mix and 1/4 cup of water to the skillet with the cooked beef.
o Stir well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef. Remove from heat.
Prepare the Wraps:
o Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface.
Assemble the Wraps:
o Spoon a portion of the seasoned ground beef mixture onto each tortilla, on top of the cheese. Add a sprinkle of chopped onion, shredded lettuce, and chopped tomato over the beef.
Fold the Wraps:
o Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up tightly like a burrito, making sure all the fillings are enclosed.
Grill the Wraps:
o Heat a grill pan or a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
o Arrange the wraps with the seam facing down on the pan, grilling each side for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the tortillas turn golden brown and crispy, with the cheese thoroughly melted.
Serve:
o Remove the wraps from the pan and let them cool for a minute. Cut each wrap in half and serve with sour cream or salsa on the side, if desired.
