- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Chicken: Tightly cover the entire sandwich with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 1 hour. Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown but not cooked through.
Make the Garlic Parmesan Crust: In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, melted butter, and minced garlic. Mix well until the mixture is crumbly and well incorporated.
Add Cheese Topping: In a separate bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and grated provolone cheese.
Assemble the Chicken: Sprinkle the garlic Parmesan mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast, pressing gently to adhere. Next, sprinkle the mozzarella and provolone cheese mixture on top of the crust.
Bake the Chicken: Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Garnish and Serve: Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, vegetables, or a fresh salad.
