- For the Filling:
- o 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- o 3 green onions thinly sliced (divided: white and green parts)
- o 2 teaspoons fresh ginger chopped
- o 1 pound ground turkey
- o 1 cup shredded carrots
- o 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- o 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- o 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- For Serving:
- o 1 head bibb or butter lettuce separated into leaves
- o Fresh cilantro chopped
- o Green onions green parts, sliced
- o Lime slices
Cook the Turkey:
o Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
o Add the white parts of the green onions and chopped fresh ginger.
Add the Ground Turkey:
o Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
o Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the turkey is browned and fully cooked through.
Incorporate the Vegetables:
o Add the shredded carrots to the skillet and stir to combine with the turkey.
