Ingredients

  • 8 cups bagged shredded cabbage or a cabbage blend with carrots
  • 1 large apple chopped (or 2 medium apples; Granny Smith or your favorite variety)
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup Marzetti® Original Slaw Dressing or homemade; see note below

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients : Wash and chop the apple into bite-sized pieces. If preferred, leave the skin on for extra color and texture. Transfer the shredded cabbage mixture into a spacious mixing bowl.
  • Combine the Salad : Add the chopped apple and dried cranberries to the cabbage in the mixing bowl. Pour the Marzetti® Original Slaw Dressing over the mixture. Toss everything together gently until evenly coated.
  • Chill and Serve : Seal the bowl and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to let the flavors combine. Serve chilled as a refreshing side dish. For added crunch, garnish with chopped nuts like pecans or almonds, if desired.
