Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Wings: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel to ensure crispiness.
  • Coat the Wings: In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with potato starch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  • Arrange on Tray: Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with oil.
  • Cook: For oven: Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden. For air fryer: Cook for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Set Aside: Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven or air fryer and set aside.
  • Heat the Ingredients: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, and butter. Stir until the butter melts and the mixture is well blended.
  • Add Seasoning: Stir in ground pepper and a pinch of salt. Adjust the lemon juice or honey to taste, depending on how tangy or sweet you prefer.
  • Simmer: Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
  • Toss the Wings: Place the cooked wings in a large bowl. Pour the honey lemon pepper sauce over the wings and toss until fully coated.
  • Serve: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or as-is. Garnish with extra lemon zest or ground pepper, if desired.
