- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1 8 oz container whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip)
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup sliced strawberries fresh or thawed from frozen
- 1 cup chopped fresh pineapple drained if canned
- ½ cup shredded coconut optional
- ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
- 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
Prepare the Cream Base: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add the sugar and continue to mix until well combined.
Fold in the Whipped Topping: Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula until the two are fully incorporated and fluffy.
Add the Fruit and Mix-Ins: Stir in the miniature marshmallows, sliced strawberries, and chopped pineapple. If you are using shredded coconut and/or chopped pecans or walnuts, gently fold those into the mixture as well.
Chill and Serve: Once everything is well combined, refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the texture to firm up slightly. Serve cold as a sweet side dish or dessert, garnished with additional strawberries or nuts if desired.
