Ingredients

  • Jalapeños: 2 fresh jalapeños
  • Cilantro: ⅓ cup packed fresh cilantro leaves
  • Mayonnaise: ½ cup good-quality mayonnaise
  • Sour Cream: ½ cup sour cream
  • Buttermilk: ½ cup buttermilk
  • Salsa Verde: ⅓ cup tomatillo salsa
  • Garlic Powder: ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Onion Powder: ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt: ¼ teaspoon salt plus more to taste
  • Black Pepper: Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Jalapeños: Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for a milder dip. If you prefer more heat, leave some seeds intact.
  • Blend the Ingredients : In a blender or food processor, combine the jalapeños, cilantro leaves, mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, salsa verde, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Adjust Seasoning: Taste the dip and adjust the salt, pepper, or jalapeño level to suit your preferences.
  • Chill (Optional): For the best flavor, refrigerate the dip for 30 minutes to allow the ingredients to meld together.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Serve chilled with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or as a condiment for your favorite dishes. Garnish with additional cilantro leaves if desired.
