Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4-5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup 240 ml heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Get the Chicken Ready: Gently blot the chicken breasts with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Sprinkle salt, freshly cracked black pepper, and garlic powder evenly on both sides. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a spacious skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove and set aside.
  • Prepare the Garlic Sauce: Lower the heat to medium in the same skillet and melt the butter. Toss in the minced garlic, cooking it for 1-2 minutes until aromatic. Pour in the chicken broth, using a spatula to loosen any flavorful bits stuck to the pan. Add the heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes (optional), then let the mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes, thickening slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Combine and Serve : Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
