For the Salad

  • 6 large Hard-Boiled Eggs peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise can swap with Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Mustard Dijon preferred
  • 1/4 cup Dill Pickle Relish sweet or dill as preferred
  • 1 clove Minced Garlic can use garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup Minced Onions or onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper black or white

Optional Extras

  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs such as dill or parsley
  • 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Veggies like celery or bell peppers
  • 1 teaspoon Spices such as paprika or curry powder

Preparation Steps

  • Start by hard-boiling the eggs: place them in a pot, cover with cold water, and bring to a rolling boil. Once boiling, cover, remove from heat, and let rest for 12 minutes.
  • Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for about 5 minutes before peeling.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add mayonnaise, mustard, dill pickle relish, minced garlic, minced onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well with a spatula.
  • Rough chop the hard-boiled eggs into chunks or slices and add them to the mixing bowl. Gently mash and mix until well blended.
  • Cover and refrigerate the egg salad for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • After chilling, stir, taste for seasoning, and serve on toasted bread, in a wrap, or alongside crackers.

Notes

Customize flavors by experimenting with spices or herbs. Store in an airtight container and consume within four days for optimal freshness.
