Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 packet 1 oz ranch seasoning mix
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken and Sauce:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Add to the Crock Pot:

  • Lay the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, making sure they are fully coated.

Cook the Chicken:

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).

Add the Cheddar Cheese (Optional):

  • If using cheddar cheese, sprinkle it over the top of the chicken during the last 30 minutes of cooking, allowing it to melt into the sauce.

Shred or Serve Whole:

  • Once the chicken is done, you can either serve the chicken breasts whole or shred them directly in the crock pot for a creamier, shredded chicken dish.

Garnish and Serve:

  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve the creamy crock pot chicken over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta for a complete meal.
