- 6 oz smoked sausage chopped
- ½ medium green cabbage about 5 cups, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons white granulated sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cook the Sausage: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped smoked sausage and cook until browned and slightly crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside.
Sauté the Cabbage: In the same skillet, add the sliced cabbage. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the ingredients are tender and softened.
Make the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Add Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Combine and Simmer: Return the cooked sausage to the skillet with the cabbage and sauce. Stir everything together and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
Serve: Serve hot as a main dish or alongside crusty bread, rice, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
