  • 2 pounds ground beef turkey, or chicken
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 10.75 oz cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 16 oz bag frozen peas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 32-ounce bag of frozen tater tots, ready to provide a crispy, golden base for your dish.

  • Heat the Oven: Begin by setting your oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.
  • Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey/chicken) until browned. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until meat is fully cooked and flavors are combined.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Add this mixture to the skillet with the cooked meat and stir to combine.
  • Add Peas and Cheese: Stir in the frozen peas, then sprinkle 1 cup of the cheddar cheese over the meat mixture, stirring to combine.
  • Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the meat mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer the frozen tater tots evenly over the top of the mixture, covering it completely.
  • Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
