  • 8 ounces Corkscrew Pasta Substitute with rotini or fusilli for variety.

For the Creamy Dressing

  • 0.5 cup Italian-style Dressing Use vinaigrette for a lighter touch if desired.
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt is a great lighter alternative.

For the Protein

  • 2 cups Cooked Chicken, chopped Grilled turkey or rotisserie chicken also works well.
  • 6 slices Cooked Bacon, crumbled Consider bacon alternatives for a vegetarian option.

For the Freshness

  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved You can also use grape tomatoes if you prefer.
  • 0.5 cup Celery, diced Substitute with cucumbers for a fresh twist.
  • 0.5 cup Green Bell Pepper, chopped Red or yellow bell peppers are delightful, sweeter alternatives.
  • 1 Avocado, diced Add this just before serving to keep it fresh.

For Flavor Enhancement

  • 0.5 cup Muenster Cheese, shredded Montrey Jack, cheddar, or mozzarella are great substitutes.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Enhances the overall flavor of the dish.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add corkscrew pasta and cook for 10–12 minutes until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together Italian-style dressing and mayonnaise until smooth. Set aside.
  • Add the cooled pasta to the bowl with the dressing. Incorporate chopped chicken, crumbled bacon, cherry tomatoes, Muenster cheese, celery, and green bell pepper. Mix well.
  • Gently fold in diced avocado just before serving.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • After chilling, gently stir the salad and serve in bowls or on a platter.

Notes

Cool pasta completely and add avocado last for freshness. Store dressing separately if preparing in advance to maintain texture.
