- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 4 tablespoons butter softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise optional
- 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese shredded (about 1 cup)
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese shredded (about 1 cup)
- 1 large ripe tomato sliced
- 4-8 leaves butter lettuce
Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Prep the Bread: Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. If using mayonnaise, spread it on the other side of each slice.
