Ingredients
  

  • 1 bag of fresh organic spinach
  • 1 carton of organic strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 2 large Hass avocados peeled, pitted, and cut into cubes
  • 1/3 cup of raw walnuts or slivered almonds
  • 1/3 cup of crumbled goat feta or goat cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of sumac optional, for seasoning
  • 1/2 cup good quality balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon tamari sauce gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Vinaigrette: In a small bowl or a jar with a lid, combine the balsamic vinegar, tamari sauce, raw honey, and extra virgin olive oil. Whisk or shake well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Set the vinaigrette aside.
  • Assemble the Salad: In a large salad bowl, add the fresh spinach leaves. Next, gently add the sliced strawberries and avocado cubes. Be careful when adding the avocado to avoid mashing it.
  • Add the Nuts and Cheese: Sprinkle the raw walnuts or slivered almonds over the salad for a delightful crunch. Then, add the crumbled goat cheese, distributing it evenly over the top of the salad.
  • Season with Sumac: If using sumac, sprinkle it over the salad. Sumac adds a tangy, slightly lemony flavor that enhances the overall taste of the dish.
  • Dress the Salad: Just before serving, drizzle the prepared balsamic vinaigrette over the salad. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly with the dressing.
