- 200g fresh spinach, roughly chopped
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese (or Parmigiano-Reggiano)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients
- Wash and roughly chop the spinach.
- Mince the garlic cloves.
- Grate the parmesan cheese if needed.
2. Sauté the Spinach and Garlic
- Heat 2 tsp olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped spinach and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until wilted.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
3. Prepare the Egg Mixture
- In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
- Stir in the grated parmesan cheese.
- Add the sautéed spinach and garlic, mixing well.
4. Cook on the Stovetop
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pour the egg mixture into the same skillet, spreading evenly.
- Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, until the edges start to set but the center remains slightly runny.
5. Bake the Frittata
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the frittata is fully set and lightly golden.
- To check doneness, insert a knife in the center—if it comes out clean, it’s ready.
- For a golden-brown top, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely.
6. Serve & Enjoy
- Let the frittata cool slightly before slicing.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use fresh spinach for the best texture and flavor.
- Don’t overcook—a soft, creamy texture is key.
- Let it cool before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- Add toppings like feta, cherry tomatoes, or mushrooms for variety.
