Description

Craving a quick, flavorful snack? Zesty Avocado Toast Bites deliver crispy toast topped with creamy avocado, fresh veggies, and a zesty lemon kick. Perfect for gatherings or a light lunch, these bites are easy to make, healthy, and customizable to suit your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 slices of bread (any type)
  • Butter, for toasting
  • 23 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (to taste)
  • Juice of ½ lemon (freshly squeezed)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Bread

  • Spread a thin layer of butter on each bread slice.
  • Toast the bread in a pan or toaster until golden brown and crispy.

2. Infuse Garlic Flavor

  • Take a peeled garlic clove and gently rub it over the surface of each toasted bread slice.

3. Make the Avocado Mixture

  • Mash the avocados in a bowl until smooth but slightly chunky.
  • Add finely chopped onion, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, and chopped parsley.
  • Mix until well combined.

4. Season the Mixture

  • Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the avocado mixture. Adjust seasoning to taste.

5. Assemble the Toast Bites

  • Spread the avocado mixture evenly over the toasted bread slices.
  • For bite-sized pieces, cut the slices into smaller portions or leave them whole.

6. Serve and Garnish

  • Arrange the toast bites on a serving platter. Garnish with extra parsley or a drizzle of olive oil, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding chili flakes or feta cheese as a topping.
  • Prevent sogginess by assembling the bites just before serving.
  • Avocado mixture can be made a few hours ahead and stored in the refrigerator. Cover tightly to prevent browning.
  • Gluten-free bread works well for those with dietary restrictions.
