Ingredients
Scale
Produce:
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
Baking & Spices:
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1-pound loaf of crusty French bread
Dairy:
- 1/2 cup salted butter (softened)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
Instructions
- Prepare the Garlic Butter : In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well-combined.
- Prep the Bread : Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise, creating two long halves. Place the bread halves cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Add the Garlic Butter : Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread. Be generous to ensure every bite is packed with flavor!
- Add the Cheeses : Sprinkle the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the bread halves, covering the surface completely.
- Bake the Garlic Bread : Place the bread in the preheated oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. For an extra golden crust, switch to the broiler setting for the last 1–2 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.
- Garnish and Serve : Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for 1–2 minutes. Sprinkle additional fresh parsley on top for garnish. Slice into individual servings and enjoy warm.
Notes
- Storage: Wrap leftovers tightly in foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
- Freezing: Assemble the bread without baking, wrap in plastic and foil, and freeze for up to 2 months. Bake directly from frozen.
- Customizing Cheeses: Feel free to mix and match cheeses like gouda, asiago, or Monterey Jack for unique flavors.
