  • 396 g heavy cream
  • 30 g granulated sugar

For Decoration:

  • Fresh strawberries (as desired)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chiffon Cake
    • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a cake pan with parchment paper.
    • In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, salt, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    • Sift in cake flour and mix until well combined.
  • Make the Meringue
    • In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
    • Gradually add sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  • Combine the Batter
    • Gently fold the meringue into the cake batter in three parts to keep it airy.
    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake the Cake
    • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    • Let it cool completely before slicing into layers.
  • Prepare the Filling
    • Slice fresh strawberries thinly.
    • Spread strawberry jam evenly over one cake layer.
  • Make the Whipped Cream
    • Beat heavy cream and sugar together until stiff peaks form.
  • Assemble the Cake
    • Place one cake layer on a plate and spread a layer of whipped cream over it.
    • Arrange sliced strawberries on top, then add another layer of whipped cream.
    • Place the second cake layer on top and repeat.
  • Decorate the Cake
    • Cover the cake with the remaining whipped cream, smoothing it evenly.
    • Garnish with whole or sliced fresh strawberries.
