Description

The Watermelon Chamomile Tea Cooler combinesseedless watermelon, chamomile tea, lime, and fresh mint for a soothing, hydrating, and refreshing summer drink that’s both simple and delightful.

Ingredients

Scale

Produce:

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon (cubed)
  • 2 limes (juiced)
  • Fresh mint (for garnish)

Liquids:

  • 2 cups water
  • Tea:
  • 2 chamomile tea bags

Sweetener:

  • Honey or another sweetener (to taste)

Frozen:

  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Brew the Chamomile Tea : In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep the chamomile tea bags for 5–7 minutes. Discard the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  2. Blend the Watermelon : Place the watermelon cubes in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain the watermelon puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp (optional for a smoother texture).
  3. Combine the Ingredients : Add the cooled chamomile tea, fresh lime juice, and honey (or your preferred sweetener) to the watermelon juice in the pitcher. Stir well to combine. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  4. Chill and Serve : Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Watermelon Chamomile Tea Cooler over the ice. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and a lime wedge for a bright and refreshing finish.

Notes

  • Sweetener Substitutes: If you’re avoiding honey, use agave syrup, stevia, or maple syrup as a natural alternative.
  • Optional Fizzy Twist: Add a splash of sparkling water to each glass for a bubbly and effervescent version of the drink.
  • Storage Tips: While best enjoyed fresh, you can store the mixture (without ice) in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Stir before serving.
  • Pulp Preferences: For a chunkier texture, skip the straining step and keep the watermelon puree unfiltered.
