Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 3 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Add chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté the Garlic
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
- Create the Creamy Base
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Cook the Noodles
- Add the egg noodles to the skillet. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are tender and have absorbed the flavors.
- Add the Finishing Touches
- Stir in butter and Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. The sauce will thicken and coat the noodles beautifully.
- Reintroduce the Chicken
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the noodles. Let it warm through for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve
- Sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish for a pop of color and freshness. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use room-temperature chicken for even cooking.
- Stir the noodles occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Add a splash of chicken broth or cream if the sauce becomes too thick.
