- About 25 Spanish Queen pimento-stuffed olives, chopped
- 1 (6 oz) can black olives, drained and chopped
- 2 stalks green onions (scallions), sliced
- 1 stick butter, room temperature
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 3 cups Monterey Jack cheese, grated
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients
- Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
- Chop the Spanish Queen olives and black olives into small pieces.
- Slice the green onions thinly for mild onion flavor.
- Grate the Monterey Jack cheese if using a block.
2. Make the Olive Cheese Mixture
- In a large bowl, combine the butter, mayonnaise, and grated cheese. Stir until smooth.
- Add the chopped olives and green onions, mixing until evenly distributed.
3. Assemble the Bread
- Spread the olive cheese mixture evenly across both halves of the French bread.
