This Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is the perfect fusion of rich, fudgy brownies and soft, moist bread. With deep chocolate flavors, swirls of hot fudge, and a tender crumb, this indulgent dessert is ideal for any occasion. Serve it warm with a drizzle of extra fudge, enjoy it with ice cream, or pair it with your favorite coffee or hot cocoa.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently swirl in the hot fudge sauce, being careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with additional hot fudge before slicing.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature for the ultimate chocolate experience.

Notes

  • For extra gooeyness, warm up a slice before serving.
  • To make it extra rich, add a 1/4 cup of melted dark chocolate to the batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
