A perfect balance of sweet, savory, and smoky flavors, this Honey Garlic Shrimp with Sausage and Broccoli is an easy and delicious dish. Juicy shrimp, hearty kielbasa sausage, and crisp-tender broccoli are tossed in a luscious honey garlic sauce, creating a meal that’s both comforting and packed with flavor. Serve it over fluffy white rice for a complete, satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • Honey
  • Soy sauce
  • Lemon juice
  • Minced garlic
  • Red pepper flakes

For the Main Dish:

  • Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • Broccoli florets
  • Extra virgin olive oil

For Serving:

  • Cooked white rice
  • Chopped parsley (garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Reserve half of the sauce for later use.
  2. Marinate the Shrimp:
    • Place shrimp in a zip-top bag and pour in half of the sauce. Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
  3. Sauté the Broccoli:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Brown the Sausage:
    • In the same pan, add sliced kielbasa sausage and sear until browned on both sides. Remove from the pan.
  5. Cook the Shrimp:
    • Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Combine Everything:
    • Pour the reserved honey garlic sauce into the skillet. Add the cooked broccoli and sausage back into the pan. Stir everything together and let it simmer for a minute to blend the flavors.
  7. Serve and Garnish:
    • Serve the dish over a bed of white rice and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by increasing or reducing the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • Try using different vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for added variety.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
