Description
This Healthy Detox Soup is packed with fresh vegetables, lean protein, and healing spices to help flush out toxins, reduce inflammation, and boost your immune system. It’s light yet satisfying, making it the perfect meal for a body reset or a simple, wholesome dinner.

- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- ½ cup bell peppers, diced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 cup cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Sauté the Aromatics
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Cook the Chicken
- Place chicken breasts into the pot.
- Add sea salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Simmer Until Tender
- Reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for 15–20 minutes.
- Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks.
- Add Vegetables
- Return the shredded chicken to the pot.
- Stir in broccoli, cauliflower, and bell peppers.
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes until vegetables are tender but not mushy.
- Finish with Lemon Juice
- Turn off the heat and stir in fresh lemon juice.
- Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
- Serve and Enjoy
- Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with fresh herbs or a sprinkle of black pepper.
