Description

Warm, flaky, and bursting with a savory blend of ground beef, melted cheese, and fresh vegetables, Golden Delight Stuffed Bread is a delicious centerpiece for any meal. Whether you’re serving it for dinner, at a party, or as a snack, this easy-to-make recipe is guaranteed to be a hit with your family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 thin crust pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by either lining it with parchment paper or giving it a light coating of olive oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it browns. Add the diced onions, minced garlic, and bell peppers. Cook the vegetables, stirring frequently, until they become tender and slightly translucent, which should take approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Spread the filling: Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef mixture down the center of the dough, leaving some space at the edges. Sprinkle the mozzarella, cheddar cheese, and black olives (if using) on top of the meat mixture.
  5. Fold the dough: Carefully fold the sides of the dough over the filling, pinching the seams together to seal.
  6. Prepare the egg wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the top of the rolled dough for a golden finish.
  7. Bake: Transfer the bread to the prepared baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust achieves a beautiful golden brown color and a satisfying crispiness.
  8. Cool and slice: Allow the bread to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Cheese Options: Swap cheddar for Monterey Jack or pepper jack for a spicy kick.
  • Vegetarian Version: Replace ground beef with sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or a mix of your favorite veggies.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for a fresh, crispy texture.
