Ingredients
Scale
For the Steak:
- 2 pounds New York strip steak, cubed into 1-inch pieces
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Mince the garlic and chop the parsley.
- Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Melt the Butter:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt until it starts to foam.
- Sear the Steak Bites:
- Place the seasoned steak bites in the skillet in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding.
- Sear for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the steak is golden-brown and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Add Garlic and Finish Cooking:
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and stir it into the butter for about 1 minute, letting it infuse the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the steak bites with chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately with additional parsley or lemon wedges, if desired.
Notes
- Don’t Overcrowd: Cook the steak bites in batches if needed to ensure proper searing.
- Monitor Cooking Time: For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F (54-57°C).
- Fresh Garlic Preferred: Use freshly minced garlic for the best flavor.
