Instructions

  • Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken broth, cornstarch, and brown sugar. Set aside.
  • Sauté the Chicken:

    • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
    • Add the sliced chicken, season with salt and black pepper, and stir-fry for 5–7 minutes until fully cooked.
    • Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
  • Cook the Vegetables:

    • In the same pan, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
    • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Add broccoli florets and red bell pepper and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  • Combine and Simmer:

    • Return the cooked chicken to the pan with the vegetables.
    • Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well.
    • Let the stir-fry simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

    • Remove from heat and serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
