Ingredients

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Jars

Step 2: Make the Spiced Syrup
- In a large pot, combine sugar, vinegar, and water.
- Heat over medium-high until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Step 3: Prepare the Apples
- Peel and core the apples, then slice them into ¼-inch rings.

Step 4: Cook the Apples
- Add the apple rings to the simmering syrup.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes until slightly tender but still firm.
Step 5: Pack the Jars
- Using a slotted spoon, pack the warm apple rings into sterilized jars.

- Pour the hot syrup over the apples, leaving ½ inch of headspace.
Step 6: Seal and Process the Jars
- Wipe the rims clean, then place lids and rings on tightly.
