Description

Golden and crispy on the outside, these Crispy Cheeseburger Egg Rolls are packed with savory ground beef, melted cheddar, tangy pickles, and flavorful condiments. Perfect as a party snack, appetizer, or quick indulgence, they are easy to make and guaranteed to be a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup finely chopped onions
  • ½ cup finely chopped pickles
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of egg roll wrappers (about 20 wrappers)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

Cook the Beef Filling:

  1. In a spacious frying pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat until it’s fully cooked. Then, drain any excess grease.
  2. Add the finely chopped onions and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the onions soften.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, mustard, chopped pickles, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly until all components are fully blended.
  4. Then, take it off the heat and let it sit for a moment to cool down a bit.

Add Cheese:

  1. After allowing the beef mixture to cool slightly, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. This ensures the cheese doesn’t melt too much before rolling, making the filling easy to handle.

Assemble the Egg Rolls:

  1. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you (in a diamond shape).
  2. Place about 2 tablespoons of the cheeseburger filling in the center of the wrapper.
  3. Fold the bottom corner up over the filling, then fold the sides towards the center.
  4. Roll the wrapper tightly, sealing the top edge with a little water to ensure it stays closed.
  5. Continue the procedure with the rest of the filling and remaining wrappers.

Fry the Egg Rolls:

  1. In a deep frying pan or pot, warm vegetable oil to a temperature of 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry the egg rolls in small batches, turning occasionally, for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate to soak up any excess oil.

Serve:

  1. Serve hot with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce on the side.

Notes
