Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium-sized potatoes (Russet or Yukon gold)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Wash potatoes thoroughly and slice them into wedges by cutting each potato in half lengthwise, then cutting each half into 4-6 wedges.
- Soak the Wedges:
- Soak the potato wedges in cold water for 20-30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Season the Wedges:
- In a large bowl, combine the wedges, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Cook in the Air Fryer:
- Arrange the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
- Cook at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Add Parmesan:
- During the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, sprinkle grated Parmesan over the wedges. The heat will melt the cheese beautifully.
- Serve:
- Garnish the wedges with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Soaking the potatoes is key for extra crispiness.
- Add the Parmesan at the end to prevent it from burning.
