Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. linguine (cooked and drained)
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose cream
- 1 ¼ cups fresh milk
- 6 oz. canned tuna (drained)
- ¼ cup butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons parsley (chopped)
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Salt and ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Cook the Linguine: Prepare the linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Creamy Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes, or until it becomes fragrant and golden.
- Add Cream and Milk: Pour in the all-purpose cream and fresh milk, stirring to combine. Let the mixture warm up, ensuring it doesn’t come to a boil.
- Add Tuna and Seasoning: Stir in the drained tuna, breaking it up gently with a spoon. Adjust the seasoning with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your preference.
- Add Parmesan and Parsley: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Keep stirring until the sauce begins to thicken and the Parmesan has fully melted.
- Combine with Linguine: Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat it thoroughly in the creamy sauce. Cook for another 2–3 minutes to let the flavors fully blend together.
- Serve Hot: Transfer to serving plates and garnish with extra parsley or Parmesan if desired. Serve right away and indulge in the rich, creamy pasta.
Notes
- Customize It: Add spinach, peas, or broccoli for extra nutrition.
- Cheese Substitution: Use Pecorino Romano or nutritional yeast for a different flavor profile.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk or cream to refresh the sauce.
