Description

These cinnamon sugar baked peaches are a simple, sweet, and cozy dessert that comes together in minutes! Fresh peaches are coated in a buttery cinnamon sugar mixture and baked until warm and caramelized. Serve them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an indulgent yet light treat. Perfect for summer nights or any time you crave something naturally sweet and comforting!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Prepare the peaches by slicing them in half and removing the pits. Place them cut side up in the baking dish.
  • Make the topping: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir in the melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract (if using).
  • Coat the peaches by spooning the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over each half. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to soak in.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and caramelized. For a crispier topping, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
  • Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or granola for added texture.

Notes

  • Use freestone peaches for easier slicing and pit removal.
  • If peaches are too firm, let them ripen for a day or two before baking.
  • Make it dairy-free by substituting butter with coconut oil or vegan butter.
  • For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts or granola before baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
