Quick and easy to make, they’re great for snacking, lunchboxes, or as a crunchy topping for yogurt and oatmeal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe but firm bananas (peeled and thinly sliced into rounds)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil or melted butter
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier option)
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Prepare the Bananas
- Peel and slice the bananas into thin rounds (about ⅛ inch thick).
- Ensure the slices are even for consistent crisping.
- Coat with Cinnamon-Sugar
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Lightly brush each banana slice with melted coconut oil or butter.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the banana slices.
- Arrange in the Air Fryer
- Place the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Avoid overlapping to ensure even cooking.
- Air Fry the Banana Chips
- Set your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Cook for 10-15 minutes, flipping the chips halfway through.
- Watch closely to prevent burning, as cooking time may vary.
- Cool & Enjoy
- Remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool for 5 minutes—they will crisp up more as they cool.
- Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for later.
Notes
- For extra crunch, air fry for an additional 1-2 minutes if needed.
- For a sugar-free option, simply use cinnamon alone or a drizzle of honey.
- To store, keep in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature.
