Ingredients

Scale
  • Cooking spray (as needed)
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cans (11 oz each) French bread dough (canned)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)

For the Glaze:

  • 3 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons whole milk or half-and-half
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Baking Dish
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Generously coat a 9×5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. Mix the Cinnamon Sugar
    • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Bread Dough
    • Open the cans of French bread dough and separate into individual pieces.
    • Cut each piece into smaller squares or rectangles for layering.
  4. Assemble the Layers
    • Brush each piece of dough with melted butter and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
    • Stack the coated dough pieces in the prepared loaf pan, alternating layers of dough and cinnamon sugar.
  5. Bake to Perfection
    • Cover the pan with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the top is golden and cooked through.
  6. Make the Glaze
    • While the toast bakes, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
    • Gradually add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until the glaze is smooth and pourable.
  7. Drizzle and Serve
    • Once the pull-apart toast is baked, let it cool slightly.
    • Drizzle with the prepared glaze and serve warm. Enjoy the gooey, pull-apart goodness!
