Instructions

  • Prepare the Seafood & Vegetables
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
    • Sauté onions, bell peppers, and celery for 3–4 minutes until softened.
    • Add shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes until pink.
    • Stir in langostino tails (or lobster) and crabmeat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  • Make the Creamy Gravy
    • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
    • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
    • Add flour and whisk continuously for 1 minute.
    • Slowly pour in chicken broth while whisking to prevent lumps.
    • Add heavy cream, thyme, tarragon, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  • Combine the Filling & Gravy
    • Add the cooked seafood and vegetables to the gravy, stirring to coat evenly.
    • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Prepare the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Topping
    • In a bowl, mix biscuit mix, milk, and shredded cheddar cheese until a dough forms.
    • Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough over the seafood filling.
  • Bake Until Golden
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  • Make the Herb Butter Sauce
    • Melt butter and stir in the Garlic Herb seasoning from the biscuit mix pouch.
    • Brush over the biscuits while warm.
  • Serve & Enjoy
    • Let the pot pie rest for 5 minutes before serving.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley or additional shredded cheese.

Notes

  • Use Fresh Seafood: The fresher the ingredients, the better the flavor.
  • Don’t Overcook the Seafood: Shrimp and crab should be just cooked to maintain tenderness.
  • Thicken the Gravy if Needed: If the sauce is too thin, let it simmer a few extra minutes before combining with the seafood.
  • Make It Spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
