For the Apple Pie Fries:

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crust (2 crusts)
  • 10 oz apple pie filling, finely chopped
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Sparkling sugar (for topping)

For Dipping:

  • Caramel topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Apple Pie Filling:
    • Chop the apple pie filling into small pieces to spread evenly inside the crust.
  • Roll Out the Pie Crust:
    • Lay one pie crust on a floured surface.
    • Evenly spread the chopped apple filling over the crust.
  • Add the Second Pie Crust:
    • Place the second pie crust on top of the filling, lightly pressing to seal.
  • Cut into Fry Shapes:
    • Use a pizza cutter to cut the crust into thin strips about ½ inch wide.
    • Cut across to create fry-like shapes.
  • Brush with Egg Wash & Add Toppings:
    • Whisk the egg and brush a thin layer over the fries.
    • In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then sprinkle over the fries.
    • Add sparkling sugar for extra crunch.
  • Bake Until Golden and Crispy:
    • Arrange fries on the baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
    • Bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve & Dip:
    • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
    • Dip in warm caramel sauce, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce.
